When you think about Los Angeles you probably think expensive. The movies have portrayed Los Angeles as a gambling, ritzy, high priced place to live or visit. But if you wanted to visit Los Angeles on a budget it can be done. Los Angeles is a great city and it is rich in history as well. People usually do not focus on the past of Los Angeles but it is incredibly interesting and today the city is what it is because of the past. If you want to travel to Los Angeles you can do so many things for under $100.

TV Shows and Stars
You seen your favorite shows coming to your home each and every day or week so now is your chance to go to the show. You can see the Dr. Phil show for free if you make reservations online ahead of time. So if you plan to be a part of the audience reserve your spot before you leave home. You can also get on board to tour some of the best Television Studios. You may also be able to catch a glimpse of your favorite actor or actress while on the set shooting a movie or television series. You could spend your entire trip looking for stars.

Museums
There are so many different types of museums that you can view while you are in Los Angeles. Some examples of the variety of museums include Aquarium of the Pacific, Calico Ghost Town Museum, Griffith Observatory, Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, Roy Rogers Museum, Wells Fargo History Museum and more. Each one offers something different and the cost is different as well. But for a weekend getaway you should view The Getty Museum. The Getty Center is located at 1200 Getty Center Drive, Los Angeles. The admission to the Getty Center is free so you don�t need any tickets or reservations beforehand. They are open on the weekends from 10 am- 9 pm on Saturdays and from 10 am-6 pm on Sundays. While you are there you will get to see some of the best European paintings, drawings, manuscripts, sculpture and decorative arts.

Dining
Of course there are several restaurants in Los Angeles that each offer something different. Travel back to the older restaurants or try one of the new restaurants. For example, if you like woodfire grilled foods you are going to love the Spark Woodfire Grill Restaurant located on 9575 W. Pico Blvd. Los Angeles. Enjoy a half pound Kobe Beef Burger topped with Provolone and Oyster Mushrooms with Avocado, Applewood Bacon, and Caramelized Onions or you can choose Maytag Bleu Cheese with Caramelized Onions. Fill up and satisfy your taste buds for $13.00 each. They also offer Steaks, Ribs and Chops, Seafood, several side dishes, Woodfire pizza, Salads and Appetizers. Your Never too old to Visit the Zoo
The Los Angeles Zoo has appeared on many television shows and is very popular all year around. When you are visiting Los Angeles you will want to stop by and see all the different animals, no matter how old you are. Feed the animals, watch performances and more while you are there. General admission is $10 per person for adults. Go to the zoo and then treat yourself out to dinner. The zoo is open from 10 am � 5 pm every day and is located at the northeast corner of Griffith Park at the junction of the 1-5 and the 134 freeways.

For the L.A. Sports Fans
If you love baseball or kept up with the history of the sport you have already heard of The Dodger Stadium. This stadium has been home to the Los Angeles Dodgers and has wowed the crowd since 1962. Today the stadium is offering tours for fans to have the opportunity to view the stadium up close and personal just like the players. The tour will last from 80-90 minutes and it will include

- A video of the Dodger history
- Access to go on the field where the games take place
- View and walk into the Dodger Dugout
- See the Press Box
- Visit the Tommy LaSorda Training Center

The tours are $15.00 for each adult/$10.00 for Military personnel. Call ahead or visit their schedule online to see when and what time you need to report to the stadium to begin your tour. The Dodger Stadium is located at 1000 Elysian Park Avenue, Los Angeles.
